Why first-party conversion signals matter
Ad platforms optimize toward the conversions they can observe. When browsers limit third-party cookies and users decline tracking, a growing share of real conversions never reaches the platform, and optimization quietly gets worse.
First-party signals change who sends the data. Instead of relying on a script running in the visitor’s browser, your own infrastructure reports the conversion from a domain you control. The platform receives a cleaner, more complete picture.
Two things make this work in practice: hashing customer identifiers on the server so raw personal data is never exposed, and monitoring delivery so you know when signals stop arriving. A setup you cannot observe is a setup you cannot trust.
This is the thinking behind EdgeConversions: make the signal path simple to set up, and make its health visible to the people who depend on it.
